Sterling Silver? Feb 27, 2009
The turtle design on this ring is very pretty, and I love it! However, I purchased this ring for my boyfriend (he loves turtles), and although I have had several confirmations that this ring is indeed sterling silver, it leaves a dark green stain on his finger, which is rather disappointing. After several vigorous washings of his finger, the green is still there. The green is steadily growing worse and getting darker, so I'm hoping that we just need to clean the ring.
Curiously enough, the stain is only on the bottom side of his finger, so you can't ordinarily see the green mark. To Sabrina Silver's credit, the turtle is etched in beautifully, and the ring is still very nice :) A few weeks have passed by since we purchased the ring, and it has not bent to a different shape or scratched! *Knock on wood*
