Unfazed by the scientific age, pashmina shawls are hand spun the same way it has been done for centuries. The hairs are gathered from the Himalayan goat called Hircus, which lives at high altitudes, 12 to 14000 feet in the mountains. The Pashmina is gathered by hand, stored and combed by nomadic herders. The threads are hand woven on handlooms over a silk wrap, which gives the fabric resilience. Once the fabric is loomed, each piece is hand dyed in open vats. Afterwards it is given to the different craftsmen for hand-embroidery, beading and /or printing. They are very soft and luxurious in feel. These shawls are woven from the best quality of Cashmere Pashmina and Silk. These shawls can be worn as a wrap or a scarf. The size is 60 inches long and 12 inches wide and each scarf is finished with 2 or 2.5 inches long tassels. The fabric comprises of approximately 70% Cashmere Pashmina and 30% Silk. The combination of Cashmere and Silk makes the fabric versatile and resonating with color. The shawls are hand loomed in Nepal and India and are offered in a wide selection of vibrant colors. We recommend dry cleaning.

5Nice Pashmina and a good price!  Jan 30, 2009
I purchased this for my mom for a Christmas gift and was surprised at the nice quality for such a low price.
I would definitely order from this company again and would highly recommend this to anyone.

They sent me the wrong color scarf and then expected me to pay shipping when they sent me the correct color! They also charged me a 20% resocking fee even though I returned the items within the 2 week timeframe required to avoid the charge. Some of the scarfs are very nice - depends on the color. Was planning on buying more but bad customer service has put me off.

Weak product. I am very disappointed. Goes back to the old adage: you get what you pay for. Thin fabric -- won't keep you warm. Oh well. The best pashmina I have ever purchased: Nordstroms. Oh, and once on a street in London I found some terrific bargains and great fabrics. Oy. Again, NOT this.

I knew I was taking a risk because this item was only $20.00, but what I got wasn't worth the shipping. It is simply an itchy piece of wool. It is not even pleasing to the eye.

I placed a phone order for 4 pashmina scarves - I emphasized my expectation of a high quality pashmina consisting of 70%cashmere and 30%silk - what I received was "pashmina wool" that is scratchy and not wearable. I returned all items unused, in the original packaging with all tags intact - but a 20% re-stocking charge was levied against my credit card, even though I asked about any additional charges when I placed the order!
